Artsteps

Artsteps is a digital platform where users can create their own 3D, digital galleries and exhibitions. The way the platform works is that users upload their digital content, build their VR spaces, and then combine these to create their own storytelling devices. I am really interested in the idea of further democraticizing different forms of artmaking.I think Artsteps as a digital tool has multiple layers to it: sure there’s the aspect of sharing art with others digitally, but there’s also the ability to use technology to enhance one’s artistic practice. I think this project opened up that specific key word for me in terms of what I want to further pursue and develop: democratization.
