My Story
My name is Temi Ijisesan and in the summer of 2023, I organized and hosted an art camp for kids in Ikeja, Nigeria. What I learned from the experience is invaluable: firstly, that there is an increasing need for accessible art education in marginalized communities. Secondly, that I didn’t, and couldn’t, stop there.
The next summer, I launched a virtual version of the camp on Zoom, inviting previous campers and other kids from around the U.S. to join.

It quickly became clear that there was a disconnect between the skills I was teaching and the learning students could retain. With lagging audio and a noticeable drop in participation, I realized there had to be a better digital solution to connect kids to art education in a sustainable way.
